Iranian Forces State Assault on American Facility in Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.

Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in response for a large-scale and ongoing assault against it by the US and Israel.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area close to the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any destruction is uncertain and the United States has remained silent.

Missile Defenses Activated

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to American military installations - reported they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That US-Israeli operation - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck sites linked to the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems responded to the missiles with high efficiency and destroyed a series of missiles," the statement continued.

The statement noted debris fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
