Barça to Host Inaugural Match at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced finished work included an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted an open training session at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
